Thank you for visiting the website for the office of Richard H. Kaplan, M.D., P.C. We are a multidisciplinary office that specializes in Physical Medicine, Rehabilitation, Orthopedics and Pain Management. Our practice is focused on restoring and regaining function so that you can return to your daily activities with less discomfort and more independence. Our practice is led by specialist physicians in their respective fields, along with providers from Chiropractic Medicine, Acupuncture, and Physical/Occupational Therapy disciplines.  Our office is equipped to care for a variety of injuries, including workman’s compensation, personal injury, motor vehicle accidents, sports, overuse injuries, and aging. We currently serve all of Philadelphia, Bucks County, Montgomery Counties, or any area for independent medical examinations.

Your road to recovery starts with understanding the problem and creating a tailored treatment program. Here, we take the time to fully assess the injury. All of our patients are seen by medical doctors regularly. While many hospitals and clinics do not offer the patient an opportunity to provide a detailed history and examination, we take the time to ensure accurate assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of all injuries. This includes reviewing relevant hospital records, police and emergency medical service reports, and additional physician reports. We also assist with referrals to other medical specialists, help for diagnostic studies, help with your short- or long-term disability, or family medical leave forms.

Physical Therapy

Our physical therapy service uses passive modalities, such as various forms of electric stimulation, ultrasound, moist heat, cold packs, massage (electric and hands-on) along with therapeutic exercises to reduce pain and increase mobility.

Occupational Therapy

We provide occupational therapy treatments, to develop, recover, or maintain the daily living and work skills of people with a physical, mental or developmental condition.

Acupuncture & Chiropractic

We offer the convenience of both chiropractic and acupuncture services, in the same building. Patients can come to one location for treatment.

Slip & Fall Accidents

Our doctors have over 50 years of experience in treating slip and fall accidents. We have both an orthopedic surgeon and physiatrist specialized in pain medicine on staff, who have compassion and understanding for these type of injuries.

Bicycle Accidents

We will take the time to go through all your symptoms, and do a thorough examination by looking at the body parts, performing motion movements of those areas, and special testing.

Electrodiagnostics

We provide electro-diagnostic testing for victims of accidents and illnesses, to check for nerve or muscle disorders resulting from accidents.
